Consistency is used in debates to refer to how consistent an author is throughout the storyline. Generally, inconsistencies in the overall storyline aren't considered valid in debates. A common example of this is Master Roshi from Dragon Ball being able to destroy the Moon during a part in the story when much stronger characters couldn't even destroy a mountain. Inconsistencies can take the form of either low-end or high-end showings.
